Pimp Music

OK, since this website has been up, I've had a few emails asking me about my music. What do I play? What do I like to listen to? I find this pretty interesting. I mean I even had a guy email me telling me how much he hated me and wanted me to die, and then asked what type of music do I play. It was a rather interesting email for sure.

So I guess it's time I address what my Pimp Music is. First I want to say that when it comes to music I listen to everything. It doesn't matter what it is. I do listen to everything from Rap to Country. I listen to music in other languages that I don't even understand at all. Just as long as it sounds good to me I want it. I don't care how childish or how weird. For instance, I totally love the song, from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, that was played for Mike Teevee after he was shrank. That song is totally amazing.

Now, do I have any favorite types of music? Oh I definitely do. My music of choice is Metal, Trance, and Jazz. I've been a Metal fan since I was a child, I've been a Jazz fan since I was about 13 or 14, and then when I was 16 I got interested in electronic music. I grew in electronic music and found Trance and loved it.

Now, this is where I tell everyone what it is I play. I do believe that I have stated that I am a guitar player. I've been playing for almost 16 years. I never stopped once. I've been hooked since I first started. In all of the bands that I have been in, I've played Metal. My first band was a Death Metal band playing things along the lines of Cannibal Corps and Deicide. How's that for disgusting and evil right? From there I've been in a handful of bands playing anything from Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal, and Progressive Metal.

Right now I'm on my own, writing songs and organizing what I'm doing. I quit my last band after two of the guys in the band got tough with me on an instant messenger... I'm not sure why they didn't want to talk to me to my face, they just didn't. I mean really, how are you going to get tough with someone over the internet when you can see them face to face anytime? It just seems so babyish so I didn't even really bother to put up much argument with them. I just acted dumb and let it go. I called the one guy in the band who wasn't even involved and told him I'm just going to walk out on it all because there is no point.

To be honest with everyone, I rather someone get in my face and tell me what they are angry and upset about, instead of get tough with me over the internet....it just seems so...weak. Yes I know I ranted on Steve Ballmer, but I'd have told him these things to his face. So anyway, I'm here now and I'm on my own. Things are going great for the most part and I'm hoping to really step everything up to the next level next year. The reason why I say this, is next year I'll have more money to work with.

So now you are wanting to know what type of Metal I'm working on right? I'm working on what can be considered as Progressive Metal, but none of it really sounds anything like Dream Theater. I can't compare what I do with them because it's too different and too Thrash Metal based.... yes I listened to Metallica too much when I was younger...Anyway I should have something worth while popping up somewhere next year.

The thing is, Metal isn't the only thing I'm working on to be honest. Just recently I acquired 2 music programs that are pretty interesting. I've finally started to do something that I've wanted to do for a long time. I'm now making Trance music as well. I got FL Studios and Ableton Live. So far I've started on 4 different ideas, and I have 6 others written down to start on as I get to them. The only reason why I've just started and not finished the ideas is because there are things about the programs that I have to learn so I can get past some problems I haven't figured out yet.

So in the end I guess I'm not just a Metal head, I'm also a Trance artist. For Metal I plan on doing things no one has really done before, and in Trance I plan on changing the face of Trance forever...well I'm dreaming about these things anyway. I'm just going to give it my best and hardest effort to get these things going. I have a new outlook and plan and organization and....well I'm just going to do things a lot different than I have in the past.
