Questions of Life

I'm going to step out of my usual role and speak of something that has been bothering me. The thing that bothers me is life itself. For centuries philosophers questioned the meaning of life. I don't think that they are any closer today than they were all those centuries ago. I sure know I don't have any answer. I mean, I have my opinion as to what the meaning of life is, but it's very lame and vague I guess.

So here is my idea of what the meaning of life is:

"Life is what we make of it. We do our best to be the best that we can be and that is it."

For me that is all life should be. We shouldn't question it at all... at least we shouldn't question so much as to why we were put here, or what weird type of physics equation caused us to get here. There are religions that can answer why we are here, there is scientific "THEORIES" as to why we are here and all that.

Yes I say scientific theories because these ideas such as Evolution haven't been proven yet. They just have evidence for them and against them. It's the same for religion as well, so don't try to flame me about anything. I'm staying center of the fence here on this one. I'm not saying either way is wrong or right.

Anyway, in todays world, it's not much different today compared to centuries ago.. or even thousands of years ago. People are still killing people for no reason, and for good reasons. People are still poor, people are still being cheated, and things like that.

When people speak of things like this, they usually want to speak of unfair things. Well, I have a few unfair things for you. How about one of my foreign Chinese students getting put in the hospital because some guys deemed him as Korean and felt they should beat him silly because of what that Korean guy did in a University. How about soldiers on both our side of the war, and on the side of the war in Iraq, being killed for something they believe in; or don't believe in for that matter? How about children starving, or people losing their jobs just because someone was jealous and wanted their job so they told a lie?

We can blame God, yet if you were a follower of God, why blame and question God's judgments? I mean after all this is God, God would know better than we would about what is going on than we would. If you don't believe in God, and you believe in something scientific why complain? If you ask me, no matter if you believe in God or if you believe in something else it's really all our fault. It's the fault of the human race. There is no one else to blame than us. If we can't control ourselves then we deserve to die, go hungry, and be sick....maybe.

I've come to find out that the biggest criers are the people who are weak in the first place. I mean I have to say I don't like what is going on right now in the world. There have been a few times in the past month where I felt trapt from it all.

Right now, I'm actually jobless. They cut my part of the ESL (English as a Second Language) program so I wasn't needed. Well, gas prices are soaring mad right now. I feel a little scared about that. If it really goes up any higher than what it has been, I'm really going to have to stop driving, and start figuring out another way to get around. Where I live it's not so easy just to walk somewhere and be where I want to be. I figure I need to invest in a bike probably. I mean I know we are being lied to about the prices going up. We are getting the same amount of oil, for the same price that we have been since 1995 from the middle east. Not to mention we have control of the oil in Iraq. So when they tell us we are getting less, and they are raising the price on us...it's a lie.

Anyway, I'm just not happy with a lot. I feel the war that is going on in Iraq is for false reasons, and we are being lied to about it, along with soaring oil prices. In fact, I think we are being lied to about a lot of things that I don't even know we are being lied about.

So all this makes me start wondering about life. What can I do? I mean I'd love to have some super powers and start destroying key things in the world to get the attention of the world governments and tell them to calm down and stop lying to us or I will destroy all of them. Unfortunately the Ubuntu Pimp doesn't have those powers. I could hack their government networks and cause them a pain for about a day....but I'd get caught after that, so it's not worth it.

It's just frustrating to me to know that there are about 150 people on this planet that basically run everything. They are the richest people on the planet, and they all just do as they please. Maybe in 100 years there will only be 1 person who will be the richest person, and maybe that person will call all the shots? Could that be a better thing than what we have now? Could that make us have a better life? I don't know, I'm not sure if I want to find out or not.

So I guess this all goes back to questioning life. My answer is we just have to try our best, and whatever happens....well...happens. The only thing we can do after that is just hope for the best and understand that there is always a better tomorrow somewhere....even if it means we aren't going to see it in our life time.

Ok, so before I go I just want to say that my next post will come much sooner than what the others have been. I want to start getting this website going again. I find it interesting that I've had nearly 5,000 site hits. So I hope that the site can keep it up. I do promise I'll add a message board soon. Some people have been emailing me and asking. Also, I promise I will make a post about my musical plans, and explaining my very small music career so far. I have gotten a few emails asking me about this recently. So let's look forward to the future and maybe it can be better.
